This compression testing gzipcheck tool was originally written for an intranet project. It has been made available to others for free via the web because it is a helpful tool for developers to confirm that web sites run with node.js, apache, nginx and other servers are properly delivering compressed results in response to requests from browsers and IoT devices .
Gzipcheck.com was originally launched on February 11, 2012. Server and code hardening over the next two days was intensive, and we elected to tighten cURL transports for security. Coincidentally, as it were, as others were realizing that cURL can be abused by bogus POP3 redirects.
We have recognized the importance of the privacy of your personal information since the day we registered the domain name gzipcheck.com. As before, we will not sell your information to anyone. This section of our website is designed to inform you about the types of personal information that may be received and collected when you use or visit this website, and how that information is safeguarded and used.

gzipcheck.com does not collect or otherwise determine how any personally-identifiable data is used. gzipcheck.com therefore does not fulfill the role as a Data Controller as that term is defined by EU Directive 95/46/EC or the May 2018 GDPR.
gzipcheck.com does not determine how any personally-identifiable data is used beyond gzipcheck.com and therefore does not fufill the role as a Data Processor as that term is defined by EU Directive 95/46/EC or the May 2018 GDPR.
For example we use the Google AdSense service and we choose not to use personalization options such as "Remarketing" and other advanced features that would use personally-identifiable data.
